After about 5 weeks the parts finaly arrived. That is a long time but the post office is not as efficient as one is used to in the west. Everything has to go through customes and is then dispatched to the post office, this can take weeks.
The mechanic striiped down the motor and fitted the new parts. The bores were in fine condition. I was hopeful that I had got away without major damage to the engine. When we started it, it still seemed to smoke a bit but much less.
All seemed to be good! Or so I thought.
