Alternator Nightmare

Well finally got to the bottom of the charging issues. After much messing around it was found that alternator was dead. Trying to source one here is pointless and the cost of a new one was a joke. I searched online and found a second hand unit from Australia. The seller was as good as his promise and the alternator arrived and was fitted and works fine. The good thing about this whole process was that I found a mechanic who really is good. Its taken years but I have now found a place where I know they will carry out high quality work.
