Kawasaki ZZR 1100 Front tyre valve blowout at approx 100mph

Very lucky to walk away from this one. The valve ruptured at 100 mph causing instant deflation. The bike became impossible to steer and just wanted to tip over. It took every ounce of my strength to keep it out of the wall and to stop it tipping over which it wanted to do. I would rather not experience this type of thing again. It turns out that the shop that changed the tyres a couple of years ago did not replace the valve stems and the rubber perished. The split on the stem covered half the circumference of the stem which is why the tyre deflated completely in one second.
