its a 2006 holden ( GM oz branding) rodeo, commonly refered to as the clown car ( rodeo clown....) which is a 4 door pickup ( ute in australia) with a V6 3.5 petrol motor its done about 140K now which isn't too much by local standards its got a dent or scratch on every panel and is perennially filthy from living in the hills and using dirt roads all the time, but thats okay cos it stops people parking too close to me i'd have used a pic that actually shows the car better but this one has my two dogs in so thats much better leilani is the black great dane and finn is the grey wolfhound cross ( he's actually nearly as tall as leilani , he just chose to be a lazy bastard in this photo ) we originally got the car when we had 3 great danes and the 4 door sedan just didn't cut it any more dream car ? beach buggy probably, maybe one of the new breed with a subaru motor out the back instead of a crappy old VW aircooled hand grenade
well, its transport...... content media

hi, my intro post is up there somewhere but i can never resist the urge to gibber on about the Vmax i've had mine for well over 10 years and ........ it will chew rear tyres at a rate even i didn't expect it handles like a bag of sh1t it is uncomfortable it has no appreciable braking ability it drinks fuel like a v8 it will overheat when it feels like it its massively complicated its seriously heavy but..... it accelerates like nothing else i've ever ridden ( looking forward to seeing how the zzr compares) and thats pretty much all i've ever wanted, never could go round corners fast with suitable modifications most of the above can be addressed its got gas assisted shocks and rebuilt forks hayabusa brakes on R1 discs braided lines decent tyres corbin seat forward controls so i'm not sat all hunched up and getting cramps in my knackered knees and ankles decent lights ( except for indicators, they're rubbish still) might try and get some pics up when i get home cheers, spotty

In ZZR Forum
g'day, new to the forum, been riding for close on 40 years and just scored me a 92 zzr1100c ( in pieces but getting back together) i've got an 88 Vmax which has copped all the usual modifications, hayabusa brakes, seat, supertrapp exhaust, lights ( that actually light stuff up), forward controls etc had it for well over 10 years and so far have only blown up one motor i got the zzr as a swap for an old sohc 750 honda and when i got it it had had a new crank, bearings and one piston/rod installed. the owner , who i know from honda 4 websites, had lost interest, pretty much the same as i had with my honda, which was being transformed into a trail bike the motor was nearly back together, needed brakes, fork seals, body repairs, tyres and a good cleanup i've finished the motor , new brake pads, wheel bearings, fork seals, tyres ( shinko's), cleaning, greasing and painting as i go it's had new brake / clutch lines and levers ( in green naturally) motors back in the frame ( no-one told me to attach all the oil lines BEFORE doing that...) so at the moment i've had to take the oil cooler, radiator and exhaust back off to get to all the oil lines and had to wait until new sealing washers turned up so that should be sorted soon enough next main job is the bodywork , every panel had some damage so i've repaired them all from the inside, got to sand down and fill from the outside then paint, which will probably be satin black with kawasaki green logos, still not entirely sure where all the bits go but i'll work it out. i've never had a fairing'd bike before so its a bit of a learning curve i have no idea if i'm even going to fit on the bike ( i'm 6'5" and as homer says 'a husky gentleman' but i've always wanted a zzr since reading about the lunacy years ago in Performance Bikes, so when the chance came up i couldn't say no ( and surprisingly mrs spotty didn't say no for me) if i do keep it then bigger brakes are a sure bet, even if i have to rob them off the vmax and put the gsxr calipers back on that i shall get some pics up when i get home as they're all on my phone and i'm using a work computer to do this cheers, spotty
